Harp in Indonesia
The introduction of the harp to Indonesia occurred in the early 1980s, thanks to Heidi Awuy. This instrument is regarded as an antique, luxurious, and elegant addition to the musical landscape. To date, the number of harpists in Indonesia remains limited, primarily due to the high cost associated with the instrument and the intricate manufacturing process involved.
Types of Harps
Harp instruments are generally classified into two categories: Pedal Harp and Lever Harp. The Pedal Harp features a pedal mechanism that enables the musician to modify the pitch, whereas the Lever Harp allows for pitch adjustments through the use of levers. Additionally, harps can be customized in terms of string count, interval configurations, and color options.
RB Harp
At present, RB Harp offers Lever Harps in two sizes: a compact model with three octaves and a standard model with five octaves. Both designs are crafted to ensure tonal flexibility and a rich sound quality, accompanied by stringent quality control measures.
